Low carbon travel action proposal

There are mountains, lakes, rivers and dams, which are the prosperous places of a pleasant city. This is our good card of Yichang. We should not only make money, but also maintain our green waters and green mountains.

Nowadays, automobile exhaust pollution has become the killer of the beautiful environment. In the case of few vehicles, the self purification ability of the atmosphere can still resolve the toxins emitted by vehicles. However, with the rapid increase in the number of cars, traffic congestion has become a commonplace. The advantages of convenience, comfort and efficiency that cars should have are gradually offset by too many vehicles. The "automobile disaster" has been formed, and the automobile exhaust caused by it is even more harmful.

Scientific analysis shows that there are hundreds of different compounds in automobile exhaust, including solid suspended particles, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, lead and sulfur oxides. The harmful exhaust gas emitted by a car in a year is three times heavier than its own weight.

August 25, 2021 is the "National Low Carbon Day", with the theme of "Low Carbon Life, Green Building the Future". It aims to improve the energy conservation awareness of all staff, promote the implementation of energy conservation and environmental protection measures, effectively improve the level of energy conservation and environmental protection, and help achieve carbon peak and carbon neutral. In response to the call of the General Administration, we propose to the cadres and workers:

(1) Actively promote the concept of "low-carbon life, green building the future", and drive more people to participate in the activities.

(2) On August 25, on the premise of ensuring their own safety and not affecting their work, they consciously gave up travelling by car and chose to travel by public transport, cycling, walking and other ways to jointly promote energy conservation and emission reduction and contribute to the protection of the atmospheric environment.

(3) We should start from ourselves and from now on, save electricity and water, use office consumables, reduce the frequency of use of air conditioners and elevators, reduce office lighting time, choose a simple, moderate, green and low-carbon lifestyle, and effectively enhance the awareness of energy conservation and consumption reduction.
