The State Administration held a seminar on carbon peak and carbon neutralization

The seminar was held online and invited two experts from Peking University and China University of Petroleum to introduce the domestic work progress from the facing situation and carbon sequestration technology, and put forward suggestions on possible involvement of metallurgical geology in combination with experts' research expertise. Relevant bureaus, institutes and holding companies discussed the understanding of carbon peaking and carbon neutralization, technologies and directions related to existing industries, next work directions and prospects. Through discussion, the idea of each unit to carry out "double carbon" work in combination with its own business characteristics was further developed, which laid a foundation for the construction of "double carbon" work with metallurgical geological characteristics.

The seminar was organized by the Research Institute and attended by more than 100 people from relevant departments of the headquarters of the General Administration, all bureaus, institutes and holding companies.
