The meeting pointed out that in order to do a good job in surveying and mapping geographic information work under the current new situation, we must have a deep understanding of the development situation we are facing, as well as the opportunities and challenges brought about by the development of science and technology, the international environment, national governance and institutional reform. The reporter learned from the meeting that since the institutional reform, the national geographic information management workers have been forging ahead and making great efforts to promote geographic information management to a new level. First, we will fully implement the central decision-making and deployment, analyze, study and judge the geographic information security issues that the central leaders care about and put forward suggestions, promote the major tasks of the central deployment, and provide accurate and authoritative geographic information support for the major national strategic deployment. Second, we reformed and improved the policies and systems for geographic information work, adjusted and improved the security and confidentiality policies for geographic information, the protection and management policies for surveying and mapping results and surveying markers, and gradually improved the map management policies and the public service system for geographic information. The third is to fully perform the regulatory responsibilities according to law, focusing on the security and confidentiality of geographic information; We will steadily promote the management of surveying and mapping results and the protection of surveying markers; We have continuously carried out in-depth map supervision, and more than 300000 "problem maps" products have been removed from the shelves, seized and confiscated in the past three years. Fourth, strive to improve the level of security services, greatly improve the capacity and level of geographic information public services, continuously update and optimize Tiantu, and access to the national integrated online government service platform; The map support capacity has been continuously strengthened, 324 standard maps have been issued, and more than 8000 standard maps have been issued by provincial regions in China; Remarkable achievements have been made in the construction and service of emergency mapping guarantee; Actively promote the development of geographic information industry.

The meeting clarified the main tasks of geographic information management during the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan". In terms of establishing and improving the legal and normative system, we will promote the completion of the revision of the Regulations on the Administration of Surveying and Mapping Results, and accelerate the completion of the revision of the Provisions on the Contents of Public Representation of Basic Geographic Information (Trial). Strengthen the supervision of geographic information, strengthen the construction of geographic information security supervision and prevention and control system, and establish security processing standards and specifications for new types of geographic information, such as automated driving maps and real 3D models; Strengthen the management of surveying and mapping results and the protection of surveying markers, and realize the collection of surveying and mapping results into the "trans provincial general office"; We will strengthen map supervision, continue to promote the decentralization of some central map reviews, and use new technologies to improve the fast and accurate discovery and evidence locking capabilities of Internet "problem maps". In terms of improving the level of geographic information service guarantee, we will build a new generation of geographic information public service platform, vigorously improve the service capacity of geographic information resource catalog, increase the development of public version surveying and mapping results, strengthen the development of map products and services, and timely provide emergency surveying and mapping guarantee for national and local major public emergencies and natural resource management. In terms of promoting the high-quality development of the geographic information industry, we should innovate the work carrier and promote the structural adjustment, optimization and upgrading of the geographic information industry.
